Bill Farmer , President | |
 | Bill directs staff and volunteer activities including resource development, marketing, governance, human resources and strategic planning for the organization. Prior to joining United Way of the Bluegrass, he was president and CEO of The Farmer Group, a consulting firm assisting business and nonprofit organizations in issues associated with public and social policy with coalition building, strategic planning, social and public policy efforts and fund development planning. He previously served as Vice President of Corporate Development for Time Warner Cable, working on issues that effect education, economic development, workforce development, housing, healthcare, transportation and diversity. Jon Parker, Vice President, Community Investments | |
 | Jon manages the organization’s community initiatives including United Way 2-1-1 and Success by 6. A graduate of the University of Kentucky College Of Social Work, Jon has worked in human services in Central Kentucky since 1988. His background includes work in new initiative and grant development, strategic planning, partnership building and advocacy. 859-281-1516 |
Carol Bates, Vice President, Regional Services | |
 | Carol manages the regional services team which oversees operations in Anderson, Bourbon, Clark, Jessamine, Madison, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford counties. Among her responsiblies are supporting county board of trustees and regional fundraising efforts. She also works directly with the local labor organizations in their community service efforts. Carol joined the United Way staff in 1983. Away from the office, Carol enjoys outdoor actives with her husband. Carol attended Morehead State University and the University of Kentucky. |
Nathan Thompson, Director of Community Partnerships | |
 | Nathan oversees the development and enhancement of partnerships within the regional community. He is responsible for United Way 2-1-1 the fund distribution process, staff lead for the financial stability focus area and support of United Way’s partner agencies. Nathan is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Master’s degree in social work. Prior to his position with United Way, Nathan was the executive director of CASA of Clark & Madison Counties, Inc. Away from the office, Nathan spends his time with his wife Rhonda and avidly pursues his love of cooking and other hobbies. |
Ronda Webber, Director of Research and Development | |
 | Ronda focuses on community impact and investments including new project development. She oversees the Success By 6 and Get On Board initiatives and supports fund distribution processes. After receiving her Masters of Science in Social Work, Ronda worked for the Greater Kalamazoo United Way in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She most recently served there in the role of Associate Director of Community Investment. A native of Central Kentucky, Ronda is pleased to be back in the Bluegrass with her husband John. 859-977-0867 |
Carrie Boling, Vice President, Marketing and Resrouce Development | |
 | Carrie Boling joined United Way of the Bluegrass in July 2002 as Director of Marketing and Volunteer Services. Carrie and her staff oversee the organization’s marketing and communication efforts. In addition to managing special events, the department facilitates community outreach through the Volunteer Center. Carrie’s previous experience in the nonprofit sector includes UK Children’s Hospital, YMCA of Central Kentucky, and The Nature Conservancy. She is a graduate of Transylvania University and a former elementary school teacher. Carrie and her husband, Scott, have two children. |
Vicki Seale, Vice President, Finance and Administration | |
 | Vicki Seale joined United Way of the Bluegrass in January of 2004 as First Link of the Bluegrass merged with United Way. She was named Director of Finance and Administration in April of the same year. Vicki brings with her over 30 years of accounting experience in both the nonprofit and for-profit arenas. Her responsibilities include directing and overseeing organizational financial accounting for operations and program budgets, human resource administration, campaign accounting and transparency, along with internal and public financial reporting. When away from work, Vicki enjoys swimming, tennis, walking and spending time with her family and new granddaughter. |
David Kitchen, Director of Brand Strategy | |
 | David joined United Way of the Bluegrass in January of 2005 after working with other United Ways for four years. Starting as an intern with United Way of Franklin County in Frankfort, Kentucky, David moved into the role of Director of Communications at United Way of Kentucky. David's work at United Way of the Bluegrass includes brand management, public and media relations, graphic design, website management, development of communications and other materials and more. David is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and resides in Lexington with his wife and son. |
